Vesuvius Piennolo Tomato PDO

Piennolo Tomato from Vesuvius PDO is a typical product of the Campania region, cultivated on the slopes of Vesuvius. The cherry tomatoes are oval-shaped and slightly punctiform, have a thick skin and a sweet-sour taste, and are so called because of the characteristic technique of tying a few bunches together to obtain the product we know. In this way, cherry tomatoes can be stored and eaten throughout the winter. In fact, even if they lose their initial turgidity, cherry tomatoes are excellent for preparing delicious and tempting sauces. We see this not only in traditional pasta dishes, but also on Neapolitan pizza and in many other recipes. Absolute goodness!
